Description

Collage by Jean Maleyrat

This collage presents the emblematic Le Corbusier’s villa Savoye, a manifesto of the architect’s modern architecture, on a background composed of a Persian carpet and a Roman arch. This collage is part of a research work on irony in architecture. By changing the environment or function of these icons of architecture, these images take on a new dimension, become objects or icons out of time. By changing these myths, Jean Maleyrat questions their role in the history of architecture.

Paper: Hahnemühle William Turner 310g/mA
