Description

Drawing by Claude Parent

From 1969 to 1973, Claude Parent shared the oblique function with the general public. With the agreement of several cities, he built oblique “practicables”, open to all, in public spaces or in MJCs (Maison des jeunes et de la culture). These temporary architectural installations offered a direct experimentation of the oblique function theory. Parent invited artists to install their works on the slopes, gave lectures and answered visitors’ questions about the oblique function.
