Description

This graphic novel (2012) based on Venice and its lagoon aims to represent distant and fragmented landscapes, an intensification of the profoundly material character of architecture, detail, and expression.
Presented as so much “strip”, Altana’s collection of images questions the narrative aspect of architecture, and therefore its temporality. All good stories have an end, these drawings constitute free fields that can be explored mentally, at the expense of a loss of usual landmarks.
