Sky villa
300,00€
Description
An Adriatic villa, with intentional openings towards a panoramic view to the coast of Montefeltro, nesting between the Apennine Ridge and the Adriatic Sea. Each room in the villa, depending on its position, allows itself to be extroverted or introverted, to be shown or to stay hidden. A meticulous operation kept the residents’ sight open and uninterrupted by the buildings around. In doing so, the experience achieved of an isolated villa is fulfilling the destiny of its name: sky villa.
WAR was founded in Rome in 2013. Its essence lies between the concept of a mannerist architecture studio and an independent space for research in the contemporary practice. In the warehouse, a collective hive-mind of books and drawings, the team elaborates architectures and books, exhibitions and furnitures, schemes of urban development and questionable ideas. WAR held lectures at La Sapienza in Rome, Politecnico in Milan, Parsons and Pratt Institute in New York, Tulane University. Their works have been exhibited in Rome (Hertziana, MACRO, MAXXI), Venice, Milan, New York, at the RIBA in London, and published in magazines such as ArchDaily, Domus, Summa+, The Architect’s Newspaper.
