Description
The architect creates a zone flooded with light which features a series of regularly shaped square rooms linked with corridors. This organisation anticipates the tools and flexibility required for the display of the rich and varied artistic content of such a museum. An open courtyard garden can host performances and temporary exhibitions, protected by low walls in natural stone. The top of the building offers a panoramic view and video projection rooms.
Laurent de Carnière, Paris
Laurent de Carnière is a French architect based in Copenhagen. Educated in Brussels and shaped by experiences across Europe and Australia, his work explores the relationship between structure, repetition and form.
Defined by simple geometries and a restrained use of materials, his projects reveal a strong constructive logic where concrete often becomes both structure and expression.
