Rather than build mean apartments, the project is for a multi-storey warehouse – a robust, economic, and generous shell that invites adaptation. Small uncostly adjustments to everyday building elements imbue the building with a novel and civic heart. Through its open plan, the building eliminates the categorical distinction between work and life, which permeate throughout the building.
