Martijn van Berkum

Martijn van Berkum is a visual artist, working primarily with drawing. In his work he is interested in the ways in which images and words are able to express, question, or confuse the meaning of things. Much of his work is specifically focused on architecture. For Van Berkum, architecture isn’t merely a matter of visual make-up of a functional structure, it also tells us who we are.
His work has been presented in several exhibitions like The Nordic Biennale Momentum in Moss (Norway), at Röda Sten in Göteborg and Botkyrka Konsthall in Stockholm (Sweden).
